I’m new here and this blog is my virtual notebook, where I scribble, and scribble my heart out. Welcome. 🙂
Having been brought up in a typically middle class Indian family, I am what Indians call here ‘a mango girl’ (a common girl). I am more like my innocent mother than my super-intelligent, super-active father. The five of us (mom, dad, a sister and a brother, and myself, of course) are a bunch of strong headed “common people” with a lame, yet funny, sense of humour. All that I am, it is everything that my family is.
I am a computer-engineer-turned-teacher and teach in government schools of Delhi. Social status of a teacher in India is a controversial subject. And I chose to be one, especially in the government schools, as I think I was born to just serve those who are not as privileged as we are. Also, I kind of have it in my blood as my parents are also teachers. I just am unable to let this life of mine pass without making others’ lives somewhat better. I am shaping up lives, and I really hope and request that you too do your bit, in whichever way possible.
All in all, I am a teacher. A learner. A daughter. A sister. A partner. A friend. A struggler. A survivor. An atheist. A believer.
And as to what I write about, I mostly write about us, humans, our feelings, our interactions, our lives, our surroundings and the happenings. I guess this rounds up all of the Universe!
If you’ve come this far, thank you. If you’re planning to go ahead and give this blog a read, I hope I won’t disappoint you. And if my writings touch your heart, or bring some, or any, memories to your mind, do share.
